Learning to swim

At the Eindhoven Rescue Brigade, children from the age of 5 and adults can take swimming lessons to become safe and confident in the water. With experienced instructors, we work step by step towards swimming diplomas A, B and C according to the National Standard for Swimming Safety.

Learning to swim is extremely important in our country full of water. Not only for our personal safety, but also for our fun. Swimming is a wonderfully healthy sport. That is why it is advisable for children to learn to swim at a young age. But adults can also learn to swim with us.

From the age of 5, your child can take swimming lessons at the Eindhoven Rescue Brigade. In the first phase, your child will be made water-safe. Quietly learning to get used to the water in a pool where your son or daughter can just stand. Our instructors have safety and eliminating fear as top priorities. The swimming lessons last 40 or 50 minutes and can be followed in the swimming pools de Tongelreep or the Ir. Ottenbad in Eindhoven. There is also the opportunity for swimming lessons for adults on Monday evenings.

After your child has discovered the joy of water, the preparation for the A-diploma begins. After obtaining his or her first diploma, the student can progress to the B-diploma and C-diploma . We are licensed by the National Council for Swimming Safety and follow the requirements prescribed by them. We train students for Swimming Diplomas A, B and C in order to achieve the National Standard for Swimming Safety.
